DAHINDA - Mark A. Kimbrell, 55, of rural Dahinda, died at 1:25 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 23 at the Brimfield American Legion. Mike Forbes will officiate. The family will visit with family and friends at the conclusion of the service. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the Mark Kimbrell Memorial Fund and flowers may be directed to the funeral home. Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield is in charge of arrangements.
He was born October 7, 1957 in Peoria, the son of Virgil and Mary (Sims) Kimbrell. He married Jo Chapman on December 24, 1998, however they had been together for 30 years. She survives, as well as a daughter, Bobbie Jo (Tim) Barnes of Pekin, IL, three grandchildren, Anna and Leah Hicks and Daniel Breymeier, two sisters, Kathy (Richard) Carlton of East Peoria, IL and Karen (Ben) Cunningham of Portland, OR, a brother, Michael (Jody) Kimbrell of Hanna City, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Philip Wayne Kimbrell.
Mark had attended Peoria High School. He had served his country as a Marine. He had operated his own Pilot Car business. He enjoyed old tractors and was a NASCAR fan.
