Andrea Lynn Bond

KEWANEE - Andrea Lynn Bond, of Kewanee, passed peacefully at the Kewanee Care Home on Friday May 3, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11th at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Pastor Brian Bond will be officiating, accompanied by Pastor Lawrence D. Anderson. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

Andrea was born November 20, 1962 in Kewanee to Charles and Betty (Lennington) Hodge. Andrea married the love of her life, William (Thomas) Bond on August 22, 1987. Andrea received an Associate’s Degree in Business Information Technology from Black Hawk College.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Thomas Bond of Kewanee, four children; Amanda Bond (Patrick Hines), Aubrey Williams, Thomas Bond and Taurean Bond, all of Kewanee, eight grandchildren; Kaynen Bond, A’Marey Bond, Schlaan Murray, Myles Bond, Jaxon Williams, A’Laeha Williams, Jaymison Bond and Preston Bond, her mother, Betty Hodge of Walker IA, two siblings, Ken (Lisa) Hodge of Dickinson, TX and Tonyia (Jim) Rashid of Walker, IA. Andrea was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hodge. Andrea leaves behind four dear friends; Joni Johnston, Debbie Thompson, Mary Harvey and Sharon Lappin.

Andrea took extreme pride in caring for her family. Andrea enjoyed gardening, fishing, word games and cooking. The family of Andrea Bond would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Kewanee Care Nursing Home and Hospice Compassus.
