Dale M. Petty Sr.

KEWANEE – Dale M. Petty Sr., 55, of Kewanee, died at 8:09 a.m., Sunday, July 2, 2017 at St. Martha Manor in Chicago.

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial gathering will be held from 2:00-3:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 12 at the Windmont Park Shelter in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born November 6, 1961 in Kewanee, the son of George and Marilyn J. (Reeder) Petty. Survivors include two sons, Dale Petty Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Kyle (Rachel) Petty of Peoria, two brothers, Mike Petty of Carbon Cliff, IL and Ed (Pam) Petty of Cambridge, his sister, Alice (Carl) Hansen of Kewanee, two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Debbie.

Dale attended Kewanee schools and had worked at Great Dane Trailers in Kewanee. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He loved his family and in his early years enjoyed being around his boys.
