Dear Lois and family. I just tonight learned of your loss of Smitty. So sorry for your loss.
He was a real sweetheart and we would often chat when he would be walking down our street those many years. Some times he could not see me but could tell it was me when he would hear my voice.

Lois and Family, I am so very sorry I was unable to attend visitation this evening and personally share my condolences with all of you. A family commitment tomorrow prevents me from attend the memorial service. Smitty was a well liked and active member of the community and his passing leaves a big hole not only in your family but the entire community. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
