Dhamendra P. "Dave" Patel

GALVA - Dharmendra P. “Dave” Patel, 44, of Galva, died at 3:20 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Visitation and prayer service  will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 13 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Cremation ceremonial rites will then be accorded and private inurnment will take place at a later date in India. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on May 30, 1972 in India, the son of Pravinbhai S. and Kalavati P. Patel. He married Hena Patel and she survives as does  a daughter, Shivangi  D. Patel, two sons, Shivam D. Patel and Shubham D. Patel, his mother, Kalavide Patel, a brother, Chandresh  P. Patel and his “mama,” Chottabhai S. Patel and his family. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Shanbu P. Patel and a son, Dharmendra P. “Dave”Patel.

Dave and his wife Hena  had operated the Galva Super Market for several years in Galva. He was a member of the Galva Lions Club and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
