Gabriella Muller Harrison

KEWANEE - Gabriella Muller Harrison, 15, of Kewanee, was pronounced dead on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at 6:00 p.m. at the Flemish-American Club in Kewanee. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date in South Africa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Kewanee Animal Shelter.

She was born August 2, 2000 in Pretoria, South Africa, the daughter of Paul and Louise (Muller) Harrison. Survivors include her parents of Kewanee, a brother, Matthew Damon Muller Harrison of Kewanee, her grandmothers, Lydia Rust and Kosie van der Walt, both of South Africa and aunts and an uncle, Marie Hammond, Estelle Erasmus, Lydia Parkin and Jannie Muller, all of South Africa. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandfathers.

Gabriella had attended both Wethersfield and Kewanee schools and was currently a freshman and high honor roll student at Kewanee High School where she was active in the school plays and was a member of the Kewanee Key Club and the Icarus Robotics Club. She enjoyed doing artwork, the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time with her close friends.
