Jason M. Rohrig

KEWANEE – Jason M. Rohrig, 43, of Kewanee, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his home.

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28 at Faith Assembly of God in Peru, IL. Pastor Steve Adamson will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society. An additional memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 2 at the Galva Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Goard officiating. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born August 6, 1973 in Kewanee, the son of Michael Rohrig and Lou Anne (Caudle) Kenwick. He married Becky Mercer on May 11, 2000 and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mike (Karen) Rohrig of Galva, his mother and step-father, Lou Anne (Jerry) Kenwick of Hennepin, IL, a sister, Amanda Hall-Davis, two step-brothers, Leon and Sam Kenwick, two half-sisters, Jenny Fryer and Krystal Dirks and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Jason attended Pekin High School and had worked as a truck driver. He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed fishing, camping and four wheeling.
