Joyce L. Beebe

GALVA – Joyce L. Beebe, 69, of Galva, passed away at 12:42 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 25 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Bob Curry will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Joyce Beebe Memorial Fund.

She was born August 30, 1947 in Galesburg, the daughter of James A. “Arnie” and Jeanne A. (Leiser) Goodbar. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Beebe of Winter Garden, FL, a brother, James R. (Cathy) Goodbar of Kewanee and her special friend, Jerry Loibl. She was preceded in death by her parents and her niece, Heidi Goodbar.

Joyce graduated from Galva High School in 1965 and attended Midstate College. She worked as a meat processor for Bob Evans until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping and going to the river boat and visiting and socializing with friends. She especially loved country life and living on the farm.
