Judith Ann (Polansky) Pianowski

KEWANEE – Judith Ann (Polansky) Pianowski, 70, of Kewanee, passed away at 5:26 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 21 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor Bob Curry will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Osceola Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society.

She was born July 5, 1947 in Moline, the daughter of Frank Albert and Helen Louise (Druin) Polansky Sr. She married Alan John Pianowski on November 25, 1972 in Kewanee. He survives, as do a son, Ted Alan Pianowski of Ohio, three daughters, Denise Lee Thomason of Dayton, OH, Charlotte Irene Horsley of Knoxville, TN and Heidi Marie Parsons of Kewanee, eleven grandchildren, Tomie Nicole Pianowski, Jill Marie McConnell, April Lynne Merritt, Jamie Kay Thomason, Rebecca Jean Thomason, Jessica Lynne Thomason, Charlotte Irene Pianowski Jr., Sharde Nicole Pianowski, Jennifer Marie Horsley, Tyler Dennis Parsons and Spencer David Parsons, thirty-three great grandchildren and her brother, Frank Polansky Jr. of Pahrump, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joyce Marie Foster and a sister-in-law, Jackie Polansky.

Judith graduated from Kewanee High School in 1966. She had worked as a turner at Headwear in Kewanee, in housekeeping at Kewanee Hospital, as a jogger at the Mail-o-graph and as a presser at Novak’s Cleaners until her retirement. She was a member of the Family History Club and the Top 5 in Kewanee. She enjoyed sewing and doing needlepoint and making cat blankets for the Kewanee Animal Shelter. She also enjoyed her cats, doing family history and being on the computer, but most of all she cherished her family.
