Kathleen Marie Lamb

GALVA – Kathleen Marie Lamb, 73, of Galva, died at 5:35 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2017 at UnityPoint Health – Methodist in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 at Galva Cemetery. Rev. Trisha Chapman will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society or to the Galva Food Pantry. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 19, 1944 in Kewanee, the daughter of Geroid G. and Esther I. (Calkins) Lamb. Survivors include many cousins and 2nd cousins and her special friends, JoAnn Wilson, Bonnie Hoxworth and Mary Hollingsworth. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathleen graduated from Galva High School in 1962. She worked as a teller at State Bank of Toulon in Galva and had also worked in her earlier years at Anderson Grain Elevator, Dr. Dickinson’s Veterinary Clinic and Bothwell Fertilizer and Equipment in Victoria. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galva and enjoyed singing in the church choir especially during the holiday seasons.  She dearly loved her cats.
