Patricia S. "Pat" Brown

NEKOMA - Patricia S. “Pat” Brown, 68, of Nekoma, went to be with her Lord at 1:01 a.m., Sunday, April 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Rev. Tim Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be directed to Autism  Speaks or the American Diabetes Foundation.

Patricia was born March 2, 1948 in Kewanee, the daughter of Daniel H (Peck) Millslagle Sr. and Zereta Neuleib Millslagle. She married Otis Lee Brown on August 2, 1974. He survives along with two daughters, Sherry Vasquez (and Carl Morrison) and Edith “Edie” (Kenneth) Tracy, both of Galesburg, six grandsons and one granddaughter, Victor, Benjamin and Matthew Vasquez, Nathaniel, Zachary and Ezekiel Tracy and Mercedes Vasquez and a great grandson, Carter James Tracy, her mother Zereta Millslagle of Geneseo,  two aunts, Ethel Ruzas of Kewanee and Margaret (Dick) Despain of Moline; also four very special friends Marlene Miles, Nancy Moon, Donya Price and Susan Liepitz. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Daniel Millslagle Jr.

She was a member of the Kewanee High School Class of 1966. She had been the head cook at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She had also owned and operated Heirloom Antiques in Bishop Hill for 10 years. She enjoyed doing crafts and loved watching hummingbirds and listening to the song birds that came to their home. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed taking them camping and fishing.
