Randy L. Heck

GALESBURG - Randy Heck, 56, of Galesburg, formerly of Kewanee and Moline, died at 4:15 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee where military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Randy Heck Memorial Fund.

He was born February 23, 1960 in Kewanee, the son of Robert and Marjorie (Tholin) Heck Sr. He had been married to Leesha. Survivors include a son, Scott Heck of Moline, a daughter, Ariel Heck of Moline, a step-son, Parris Silvis of Alpha, five grandchildren, Cohen, Devin, Liam, Jack and Lyric, two brothers, Mike (Melody) Heck of Galva and Bob (Rebecca) Heck of Kewanee, several nieces and nephews and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy attended Kewanee schools and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had a love for cooking and had worked as a cook at Phil’s Steakhouse, Harold’s on the Rocks and at Bud’s Skyline Inn. He enjoyed fixing meals for his family and loved ones. He was an avid movie lover and enjoyed doing puzzles, playing cards and sketching.
