Raymond Lee Rusk

KEWANEE – Raymond Lee Rusk, 69, of Kewanee, died at 7:36 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon , Saturday, March 25 at the Flemish- American Club in Kewanee . Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born August 29, 1947 in Lewistown, IL, the son Leon and Norah (Thomas) Rusk. Survivors include two sons, Jason Rusk and his girlfriend, Sarah Hamilton and Travis Rusk and his girlfriend, Jamie Royce, both of Kewanee, three daughters, Rhonda Rusk of Kewanee, Twyla May of South Carolina and Coessa Rusk (Brock Martin) of Kewanee, a step-son, Fred (Laurie) Teeslink of Kewanee, two step-daughters, Candi Ward of Kewanee and Brandi Teeslink of Missouri, two sisters, Donna Harkness and her friend, Jim and Nancy (Carl) Sollenberger, both of Farmington, twenty-seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Christine Rusk and a brother, Thomas Rusk.

Raymond graduated from Black Hawk East with his Associates Degree in Automotive. He worked for Kewanee Machinery and Conveyor and for Kewanee Boiler. He was a member of the former Grace Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Kewanee Police Auxiliary. He enjoyed having coffee at the Barnhouse Restaurant and collecting hats and especially enjoyed his family.
