Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Bell

GALESBURG - Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Bell, 50, of Galesburg, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 7 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Galva. Rev. Linda Winkelman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, January 6 at the church. Cremation will be accorded following the service and private inurnment will be held at a later date in Galva Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Ronald Bell Memorial Fund. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 26, 1966 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Duane and Suzanne (Armstrong) Bell. He married Georgia A. Rosenberry on September 20, 2014 in Galva. She survives of Galesburg, as do his parents of Altona, two step-children, Brandie Roberts and Casey Buffum, both of Galesburg, three brothers, Steve (Susan) Bell of Galva, Richard Bell and his special friend, Jane Doss of Kewanee and Chris (Cassandra) Bell of Knoxville, three step-grandchildren, Emma, Leo and Meadow and eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Ronnie graduated from Galva High School. He had worked for Operators Local Union 649 out of Galesburg. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He was known to be able to build anything and  was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He also enjoyed his cat, Gizmo and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
