Ruby L. Wolf

KEWANEE – Ruby L. Wolf, 91, a resident of Genesis Senior Living in Aledo, formerly of Kewanee, died at 1:23 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the facility in Aledo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 7 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Dan Craig will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Honor Flight.

She was born July 13, 1926 in DePue, IL, the daughter of Garnet and Magnolia (Sturgeon) Green. She married Floyd L. Wolf on February 19, 1944 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1985. Survivors include her children, David Wolf of Kewanee, Paula (Larry) Talbot of Russellville, AL and Pam (Dan) Bates of Galva, seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Salpietro of Buffalo Grove, Rod (Valerie) Wolf of Pekin, Shelly Wolf Stoner of Peoria, Shannon (Amine) Assal of Helena, AL, Nicholas Talbot of San Antonio, TX and Jason (Melissa) Bates and Eric (Rina) Bates, both of Galva and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Darlene Hardt and Esther Bumphrey.

Ruby had a love for flowers, cooking, cleaning and maintaining her backyard. She especially enjoyed taking care of people and her family.
