Shirley A Drawyer

KEWANEE - Shirley A. Drawyer, 71, of Kewanee, died at 3:38 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, from 10:00- 10:45 a.m. at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Private inurnment will then be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Henry County Humane Society.

She was born February 19, 1945 in Kewanee, the daughter of Fred and Virginia (Chesser) Ensley. She is survived by a son, Dusty (Tracy) Drawyer of Kewanee, a granddaughter, Alexandria and three sisters, Darlene (Frank) Rasmussen of Sheffield, IL and Donna Cassidy and Frieda Ensley, both of Colona, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Pamela Sue and a brother, Fred.

Shirley was a seamstress and had owned and operated Drawyer’s Reweave and Alterations. In earlier years, she had also worked at Excel Leather and at Novak’s Cleaning. She enjoyed fishing and camping and loved her family.
