Theodore L. Curtis

KEWANEE - Theodore L. Curtis, 81, of Kewanee, died at 6:15 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 21 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, August 20 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Kewanee Veteran's Council. Memorials may be directed to the family.

He was born November 4, 1933 in Lacon, IL, the son of Merlin and Wilma (Walker) Curtis. Survivors include his daughter Victoria Hulslander and her fiancAC. Ray Scott of Princeton, and children, Donna (Bill) Talley Denning and Layne Denning, a sister, Irene Rowland, four grandchildren, Andrew (Stacie) Hulslander, Holden (Stephanie) Hulslander, Robert (Jessica) Hartman and Bruce Hartman and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Myrna Simmons and Verna Brooks.

Theodore served his country in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He had worked at Walworth in Kewanee and then at Penberthy in Prophetstown. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and especially spending time with his family.
