William C. Marx

KEWANEE - William C. Marx, 65, of Kewanee, formerly of Houma, LA, died at 3:10 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home. 

Cremation has been accorded and no services are planned at this time.  Memorials may be directed to his family.  Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born January 23, 1952 in Milan, IL, the son of Leo and Rita Marx. He is survived by two sons, Beau (Leanne Britton) Harkert of East Moline, IL and Jade McLaughlin of Wappelo, IA, a brother, Mike Marx, a sister Rita Voozikis, five grandchildren, Colton, Andrew, Devaeh, Josh, and Harley, a niece Anne Stoltenberg and two nephews, Jim Voozikis and Pete (Dylimar) Voozikis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Jeremiah Harkert.

William served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a caretaker to his children. He enjoyed riding his Harley and had participated in Bikers Against Child Abuse in Louisiana. He enjoyed going on trips and caring for his family.  His grandchildren were his heartbeat and he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them.
