William J. "Billy T." Trussen

KEWANEE – William J. “Billy T.” Trussen, 59, of Kewanee, died at 7:40 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Jason Garcia will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service and inurnment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the William Trussen Memorial Fund.

He was born April 16, 1958 in Kewanee, the son of John H. and Ina L. (White) Trussen. Survivors include three brothers, Gary Spahn, Jerry (Susan) Trussen and John Trussen III (Tamara Weir), all of Kewanee, three sisters, Judy Curran of Kewanee, Kathy (Tim) McCants of Coal City, IL and Holly Lee of Kewanee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, Joy.

Billy T. graduated from Kewanee High School in 1976. He had worked as autobody repairman and in maintenance at Kewanee Corporation. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he enjoyed woodworking, cooking and baking, gardening and especially spoiling his nieces and nephews.
