Christopher "Chris" Colvin

PRINCEVILLE – Christopher M. “Chris” Colvin, 48, of Princeville, died Monday, April 22, 2024 at his home.

He was born February 2, 1976 in Moline, the son of Donald “Don” L. and Laura L. (Nygren) Colvin. Survivors include his mother of La Fayette, his son, Connor of New Braunfels, TX, two brothers, Casey (Sheri) Colvin of Blue Grass, IA and Jeff (Carrie) Colvin of South Beloit, IL and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kelly.

Chris graduated from Stark County High School and he served his country in the Peoria Air National Guard. He worked for Laborers Local 165 in Peoria. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed a good game of golf.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11 at La Fayette Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Corbly officiating. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the La Fayette United Methodist Church. Memorials may be directed to the La Fayette United Methodist Church. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
