Beatrice Haines

GRAND BLANC, MI – Beatrice Haines, 89, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, formerly of Galva, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Rev. Linda Winkelman will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Beatrice Haines Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Haines was born February 4, 1928 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Jerry Esio and Nancy (Warda) Esio. She married John L. Haines, Jr. on May 28, 1960 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2007.

She is survived by her brother, Nathan “Bill” Esio and his wife, Geri Esio, and their son, Gary L. Chambon; cousins, Helen Yonan and Pamela Zeller; nephew, James (Janet) Esia, as well as close and good friend and companion, Kay (Bill) Heitsch. She was also preceded in death by brother, David (Marge) Esia; sister, Kay (Tony) Urlaub and cousins, Mary (Wally) Solomon and Margaret Yonan.

She worked at Black Hawk College as a secretary for many years before her retirement, after which she and her husband relocated to Grand Blanc, Michigan.
