Bernice P. Widar

KEWANEE - Bernice P. Widar, 96, a resident at Kewanee Care Nursing Home, died at 9:40 PM Sunday, January 28, 2018 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Private graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born January 31, 1921 in Kewanee, the daughter of Ernest T. and Annie (Anderson) Widar.  Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by a special friend, Nedra Theodore.

Bernice had attended Kewanee High School. She had worked as a factory worker at the Walworth Company and was a past member of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
