Betty Jean Sellers

KEWANEE – Betty Jean Sellers, 89, of St. Cloud, FL, formerly of Kewanee, died April 13, 2018 at her home.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 20 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born August 26, 1928 in Madison, WI, the daughter of William John and Pearl Mae (Booth) Coffey. She married Charles D. Sellers Sr. on December 31, 1947 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1989. Survivors include her children; Connie (Jerry) Westefer, Chuck (Sandy) Sellers and Kenny (Connie) Sellers, all of Kewanee, Bob Sellers of St. Cloud, FL, LuAnn (Ron) Scott and Jim (Kim) Sellers, both of Kewanee, Jeannie (Bernie) Scott of Greenville, SC and Karen (John) Mitchell of St. Cloud, FL and seventy-six grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Terry Sellers, a brother, Bill Coffey and a sister, Virginia Dziengel.

Betty had worked as a restaurant hostess. She thoroughly enjoyed being around people, her family and playing bingo.
