Bonnie E. Glaski

MILAN - Bonnie E. Glaski, 68, of Milan, formerly of Kewanee, died at 10:57 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 18 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Karen Martin will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service with private committal rites at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bonnie Glaski Memorial Fund.

She was born on October 1, 1949 in Kewanee, the daughter of Syrus A. and Alberta L. (Stephens) Perrigo. She married Dennis J Glaski on January 13, 1973 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Frenette. She is survived by two sons, Jerrod (and his fiancée, Jill Henderson) of Milan and Sergei (Carolina) Guschin, of Des Moines, IA, two daughters, Lexie Glaski of New Bedford, IL and Bethany DeSmit, ten grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Tiana, Aiden, Ethan, Zander, Isabelle, Jasmine, Alex and Alayna, two brothers, Norman Perrigo of Kewanee and A. Leslie (Jayne) Perrigo of Wyoming, IL and two sisters, Martha (Michael) Peed of Kewanee and Carole (Terry) Colgan of Wyoming, IL.

Bonnie graduated from Kewanee High School in 1967 and then Augustana College in 1971 having earned a degree in teaching. She had taught 7th grade at Visitation School in 1984 and continued as a substitute teacher off and on for several years. She was a stay at home mom and for many years, did seamstress work out of her home. She had attended Visitation Church, St. John Paul II Parish in earlier years. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, doing crafts, watching movies and was an avid reader.
