KEWANEE – Bonnie S. Thompson, 62, of Kewanee, died at 5:15 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Dr. William R. Toliver and the Very Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
She was born February 24, 1957 in Atkinson, the daughter of Roger Floming and Beverly (Williams) Daniels. She married Gregory Toliver in 1976 and they later divorced. She married George Thompson on August 17, 1990 in Kewanee but they had been together for 37 years. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her four children; Alicia Toliver of Kewanee who was her primary caregiver, Sharae (Lucas) Girven of Decatur, IL and Angela Thompson and Daniel Thompson, both of Kewanee, four siblings; Carrie (Donny) Harvey of Kewanee, Deborah (Jeff) Toppert of Moline, Robert (Tina) Floming of Atkinson and Andre Daniels of Portland, OR, seven grandchildren; Gage Peart, Cassel Taylor, Dionte Kenney, Dalyn Thompson, Myles Taylor, Zaria Reed and Cole Derix and many more grandchildren whose lives she touched, her step-mother, Susan Floming and two step-brothers, Tony and John Floming. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother, Beverly Daniels, two fathers, Roger Floming and Clem Daniels, her son, Nicklous, a brother, Michael Floming, mother-in-law, Bernice Thompson, sister-in-law, Brenda Dunn and a brother-in-law, Ralph Thompson.
Bonnie was a homemaker and in her early years had worked as a secretary at the YMCA. She was a caring mother who enjoyed taking care of her family and always looked forward to the holidays and family gatherings. She loved visiting with family and friends and attending her grandchildren’s events. She enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers.
