Carolyn S. Dison

KEWANEE – Carolyn S. Dison, 80, of Kewanee, died at 1:14 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Carolyn Dison Memorial Fund. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 18, 1938 in Kewanee, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (VanHecker) Jacobson. Survivors include her three children, Debbie Martinez of Kewanee, Victor Dison of Hesperia, CA and Michael Dison of Hopedale, IL, two sisters, Becky Kilby of Kewanee and Pat (Bob) Morris of Devore, CA, five grandchildren; Kimberly Raley of Irwin, IL, Ryan Cecil and Micah Martinez, both of Kewanee and Michael T. Dison and Madison Dison, both of Hopedale, IL and a great grandson, Nathaniel Cecil of Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Jacobson, a sister, Mary Martens and a son in infancy.

Carolyn attended Kewanee High School and received her GED in 1986. She had worked at Kewanee Manufacturing and at Boss Manufacturing. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the VFW American Legion Auxiliary and had been a member of the former Moose Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, woodworking and doing puzzles.
