KEWANEE- Carolyn E. Eilts, 52, of Kewanee, died at 2:21 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee. The Very Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
She was born in Kewanee on April 26, 1966, the daughter of John and Carolyn (Petty) Matuszyk. She married William T. Eilts on September 14, 1984 in Toulon. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Trish, a son Robert and two sisters in infancy. She is survived by a son William Eilts of Neponset, eleven grandchildren, Dakota, Cheyenne (with one on the way) Niquel, Cassandra, Heather, Destiny, Samantha, Gracey, Terry, Roman and Aaron, and five great grandchildren, Quinton, Kaydon, Bryson, Hailiee and Raynie, her siblings, Frank (Cheryl) Matuszyk, John Matuszyk Jr., Joe (Jill) Matuszyk, Anna (Duane) VanDeSample, Tim (Treva) Matuszyk all of Kewanee, Mark Matuszyk of Tiskilwa and Anthony Matuszyk of Kewanee, several nieces and nephews and her dogs Freckles, Sami Jo and Stone.
Carolyn had graduated from Kewanee High School. She had worked as a cashier at Dollar Tree. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and crafting, gardening, baking and cooking, traveling, visiting and reminiscing and spending time with her son.
