Daniel Russell Dolk

GALVA -  Daniel Russell Dolk, 64, of Reno, NV, formerly of Galva, passed to his heavenly home on May 17, 2017.

He will be laid to rest on June 20th in a private family service. Military rites will be accorded by the Galva Fusiliers. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on December 7, 1952 in Kewanee. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Cecil M. Dolk. To cherish his memory, Dan leaves behind five siblings; Regina (Bill) Ausich, Jim (Vickie) Dolk, Randa (Terry) Covert, Steve (Beth) Dolk and Bill (Susan) Dolk, thirteen nieces and nephews and nineteen great nieces and nephews.

Daniel served his country with the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany and had achieved the rank of Sargent. He was interested in the Japanese culture and was an avid collector of Japanese Samurai swords.
