KEWANEE – Daryl Joseph Jacobson, 55, of Kewanee, died Monday, September 9, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services and private inurnment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
He was born March 28, 1964 in Kewanee, the son of Kenneth M. “Kenny” and Connie Lee (Warren) Jacobson. Survivors include his son Kegan Jacobson of Burlington, IA, his daughter, Shea Ricketts of Blue Grass, IA, two grandchildren, Koa and Conner, a step-grandson, Daeson and a brother, John Jacobson of Kewanee. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers in infancy.
Daryl graduated from Kewanee High School in 1982. He had worked as a semi-pro baseball umpire in Florida. He was of the Catholic faith and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
