GALVA – David W. Fowler, 70, of Galva, died at 11:57 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17 at the First Baptist Church in Galva. Pastor Don Reul will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.
He was born November 27, 1947 in Galesburg, the son of Leonard and Eleanor (Winchel) Fowler. He married Carol L. Epley on November 9, 1974 in Galesburg. Survivors include his wife of Galva, a son, David Eric Fowler of Galesburg, four daughters; Stacey Renee Fowler of Galva and Jennifer Ann Jaco and Jodi Lynn Fowler, both of Galva and Christy Marie (Jeff) Obryant of LaFayette, a brother, Charles (Janice) Fowler of Galesburg, two sisters, Sharon Keith of Galesburg and Debbie Lanxon of Altona, his grandchildren; Miranda Puskar of Kewanee, Andrew Fowler of Galva, Kelsey Rogers and Caleb Ryden , both of Galesburg, Kyle, Dalton, Bailey, Haylee, Gauge and Kaydeelynn Leverette, all of Galva and Olivia and Louis Obryant, both of LaFayette and two great grandsons, Kyler Leverette of Colona and Riot Leverette of Galva. He was preceded in death by his parents.
David worked as a recycling technician for Eagle Enterprises in Galva and also had drove a truck for them for 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Galva. He enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling and he especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
