Dean Lindsey

KEWANEE - Dean Lindsey, 82, of Kewanee, passed away at 9:05 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Kewanee Care Home. 

Private graveside services with military rites by the Kewanee Veterans Council will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Dean Lindsey Memorial Fund. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born December 2, 1934 in Gorham, IL, the son of William and Geneva (Denten) Lindsey. He married Lucy P. Keel on February 27, 1957 in Beeville, TX. She survives, as do two sons, Terry (Josie) Lindsey and William (Alica) Lindsey, both of Kewanee, five grandsons, Lucas (Amber) Lindsey, TJ Allen (Jessica) Lindsey, Josh (Breann) Lindsey, Mark (Kelsey) Lindsey and Juan (Morgan) Garcia, seven granddaughters, Julie (Ryan) DeMuynck, Sheila (Patrick) Goforth, Jenilee (John) Johnson, Aimee Katheryn (Drew) Gilbreath, T.J. Lindsey,  Connie (Thad) Yordy  and two foster children, Ann Tylor and Florence Mannon, twenty great grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Petty of Toulon and a nephew, Dean Petty. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dean served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He had worked at Regals in Lynn Center. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and he will be deeply missed by his family.
