Debra Lynn (McBride) DeValkenaere

GALVA - Debra Lynn (McBride) DeValkenaere, 46, of Galva, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home. 

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. The Very Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

She was born January 22, 1971 in Kewanee, the daughter of Larry McBride and Linda (McIntyre) Gearhart.  Survivors include her mother of Galva, two brothers; Bob (Melissa) McBride of Kewanee, and John (Jennica) Gearhart of Kewanee and a sister; Tammy (Adam) Reizner of Round Lake Beach, IL. Also surviving are her nephews, Trent and Travis Johnson, Cameron McBride and Revan and Kayden Gearhart, her niece, Cassie McBride and a great nephew and two great nieces. She was preceded in death by her father. 

Debra attended Galva schools.  She had worked as a CNA and a welder. Debra was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed watching football and spending time outdoors.  She cherished time spent with her family and friends.
