Douglas Kindle Sr. Obituary

Douglas G. Kindle Sr., 79, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018. He was born in White Lake, WI to Sydney and Margaret Kindle on July 12th, 1938. Following High School he joined the Army. He married Joyce A. Mills on August 24, 1957 who passed away in March of 1986. He remarried JoAnn Johns in August of 1987. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, in Waukegan, IL and also of Western Oaks Church of the Nazarene in Bethany, OK. For a time he was a member of a couple of local gospel quartets, the Joint Heirs and the Uplifters. He loved to sing and play guitar. He was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber and Athenian Marble.

He is survived by four children, Doug (Renee) Kindle Jr. of Tiskilwa, IL, Debra (Duane) Bauer of Cuba, IL, Darrell Kindle of Miamisburg, OH and DeAnn Kindle of Oklahoma City, OK,  nine grandchildren;  Tiffany Kindle (Paul) Trotter, Amy Jo Kindle (Thomas) Higgins, Gregory (Ellen) Kindle, Kassandra Bauer, Bethany Kindle (Brent) Schnipke, Joseph Bauer, Anna Kindle, Benjamin (Kacey)  Kindle, Timothy Kindle and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Joan) Kindle of California and Marvin (Deb) Kindle of Wisconsin  three sisters, Wretha Barber of Missouri, Nova (Larry) Ellis of  Wisconsin and Sandy Raddatz of Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, his wife JoAnn, one daughter-in-law, Cynda Kindle, one grandson, Jeffrey Kindle, four brothers and three sisters.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3 at the Living Well Church of the Nazarene in Dixon. His brother, Marvin Kindle will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials can be made to the Douglas G. Kindle Sr. Memorial Fund. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
