George Gilmore Gregory "Greg" Cornish Jr.

PEORIA – George Gilmore Gregory “Greg” Cornish Jr., 30, of Peoria, formerly of Kewanee, died at 6:15 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor James Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to his family.

He was born October 18, 1987 in Kewanee, the son of George Gilmore Gregory and Robin (Britt) Cornish Sr. Survivors include his parents of Kewanee, a brother, Kit (Samantha) Cornish of Kewanee, two sisters, La’Casta Britt of Kewanee and Crystal Cornish and her fiancé, John Scurlock Sr. of Peoria, his love, Jessica Credit and their daughter, Lylah Cornish, both of Washington, IL, his daughter, Eliza Cornish and her mother, Elizabeth Charlson, both of Peoria and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Greg attended Kewanee schools and received his GED and later graduated from Illinois Central College with his welding certificate. He currently worked as a Sales Representative for Royal Publishing in Peoria. He truly enjoyed spending time with his girls and family. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed basketball and football.
