KEWANEE – Gynethia Ann (Bishop) Rodriguez, 63, of Kewanee went home to be with her Lord as she passed suddenly at her home on Sunday, April 14, 2019.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27 at the First Christian Church in Kewanee. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
She was born September 22, 1955 in Kewanee, the daughter of Irvine and Marjorie (Hall) Bishop. She married Herminio Rodriquez Jr. on February 13, 2009 in Sterling, IL. She had worked as a housekeeper at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee since 1997. She had belonged to the former Kewanee Nazarene Church and for the past couple of years had been attending the First Christian Church.
Gynethia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Bishop, a son in infancy, James Raymond Ibarra II, a niece, Gabina Ann Garcia, several aunts and recently, a step-brother. Survivors include her husband, Herminio Rodriguez Jr. of Kewanee, her sister, Glenda Gardner (Sam Garcia) of Kewanee, her daughters; Catalina (Rudy) Sias of Las Cruces, NM, Corina Jaco (Duane VanDeSampel) of Kewanee, Maria (Jason) Dazley of Kewanee, Josephine Ibarra with her special friend, William James of Kewanee and Jeanny Ibarra with her special friend, Cody Ringberg of Kewanee, grandchildren; Josh Grant Jr. (Courtney Contreras), Michael (Mindy) Guerrero, Maritza and Mariah Sias, Sidney Jaco, Cavius Reed, Jaya Favela, Jordan Ibarra and soon to be Jakil Lee and great grandchildren; Mya, Brycen, Carson, Blake, Malakai, Alayna, Jayden and Sofiah. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
