Ilene M. Gosch

HERCULANEUM, MO – Ilene M. Gosch, 94, of Herculaneum, MO, formerly of Kewanee, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor Bob Curry will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society.

She was born August 31, 1923 in Kewanee, the daughter of William and Lola (Piester) Reiff. She married John F. Gosch on June 23, 1946 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (Phil) Grant of Herculaneum, MO, her son, Jim (Cris) Gosch of Cabool, MO, three grandsons, Brian (Aly) Grant and their daughter of Houston, MO, Justin (Becky) Gosch and their sons of Sheffield, IL and Kevin (Abby) Grant and their sons of Herculaneum, MO, a granddaughter, Amanda (Caleb) Lloyd and their children of Round Rock, TX, her brother, Eugene (Shirley) Reiff of Kewanee, a sister-in-law, Elaine Reiff of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wayne Reiff.

Ilene graduated from Kewanee High School in 1941. She had worked at Boss Manufacturing and at J.C. Penney. She was a member of St. Evangelical Church UCC in Kewanee.
