KEWANEE – Jack C. Legg, 70, of Kewanee, died at 6:49 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Kewanee at the home of his niece surrounded by his loving family.
Cremation will be accorded and A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Friday, July 27 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
He was born April 15, 1948 in Peoria, the son of Dennis E. and Betty Jo (Davis) Legg. He married Ashley Lynn Craine on March 12, 2012 in Galesburg. Survivors include his wife, Ashley Legg of Kewanee, five children; Pamela J. (Gary) Legg-Leeball of St. Cloud, FL, Penny A. Legg of Springfield, IL, Adrianna Mae Craine of Kewanee, Aidin Rue Sterling of Knoxville, IL and Landon Michael Craine of Kewanee, five siblings; Susette Marie Berger of Kewanee, Linda Lou Legg of Toulon, Richard Cleo (Tammy) Legg of Muskegon, MI, Robert Allen (Margaret) Robertson III of Grand Rapids, MI and Trisha Woods of Muskegon, MI, his mother-in-law, Michelle Lee Winegardner, grandmother-in-law, Linda Lou Ward, grandfather-in-law, David Ward, brothers-in-law, Jared and Devin Winegardner, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, twenty nieces and nephews, thirty-six great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Spike. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis, mother, Betty Jo Robertson, son, Jack C. Legg-Kline and two brothers, Robert James Legg and Paul Allen Robertson.
Jack had worked for Keystone in Peoria and also as a scrapper. He enjoyed working on cars, scrapping, watching westerns, camping and fishing and he especially enjoyed taking his children fishing.
