KEWANEE – Jeanneane Nance, 86, of Kewanee, died at 9:42 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2018 at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
Private funeral services will be held at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. The Very Rev. Jerry Rafalko will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the services and private inurnment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
She was born October 28, 1931 in Kewanee, the daughter of William W. LaRue II and Wilna (Smith) LaRue. She married Cleo L. Nance on March 3, 1951 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2010. Survivors include her children, Sue Nance of Kewanee, Cindy (Elmer) Philhower of Nappanee, IN, Rick (Cheryl) Nance of St. Charles, IL and Jeff Nance of Kewanee, grandchildren; Jason (Heather) Philhower, Jenn (Jeff) Wise, Joanne Philhower, Evan and Parker Nance, Brian (Heather) Nance, Heather (Dustin) Morden and Kevin Nance, great grandchildren; Jarod and Bailey Philhower, Brelynn and Brody Wise, Ethan, Eva, Emma, Elise and Evelyn Nance and Atticus, Liam, Reese and Alivia Morden, a sister, Marlene (Jon) Clayton of Kewanee and a sister-in-law, Pat LaRue of Bryant, AR. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gary LaRue and William LaRue III and a daughter-in-law, Diana Nance.
Jeanneane graduated from Kewanee High School in 1949. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening and she thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
