JoAnn Fargher

KEWANEE - JoAnn Fargher, 83, of Kewanee, died at 8:55 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 10 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Her nephew, Deacon John Holevoet will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

She was born August 6, 1934 in Kewanee, the daughter of John and Elsie (Martin) Bengston. She married David G. Fargher on August 23, 1960 in Iowa City, IA and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2003. Survivors include her two daughters, Kathy (Randy) Jenkins and Patty (Doug) Hepner, both of Kewanee, three brothers, Bill Bengston of Janesville, WI, Bernie Bengston of Nebraska and Gene (Helen) Bengston of Crystal Lake, IL, a sister, June (Dwayne) Negley of Kewanee, three grandchildren, Matt Jenkins and Sarah and Katie Hepner. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and two sisters in infancy.

JoAnn had worked in home healthcare. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
