Joseph E. Murray Sr.

GRAMMER, IN – Joseph E. Murray Sr., 69, of Grammer, IN, formerly of Kewanee, died at 4:43 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 7 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 1, 1949 in Kewanee, the son Kenneth Howard and Marcella (Dickens) Murray. Survivors include his children; Marcella (Joe) Jonas, Joseph (Judy) Murray, Holly (Travis) Caudill, Jeremy (Sharayah) Murray, Naomi (Levi) McMurphy and Jacob Murray,  three sisters; Leila Swanson, Sheila Langdon and Rita Tabor and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Joseph had worked as a truck driver for Rumbold & Kuhn in Princeville, IL. He loved the outdoors and was a master at tinkering and enjoyed working on cars, mowing and working in the garden with his son, Jeremy.
