Kenneth M. "Kenny" Jacobson

KEWANEE – Kenneth M. “Kenny” Jacobson, 84, of Kewanee, died at 12:02 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 12 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Fr. Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Kenneth Jacobson Memorial Fund.

He was born October 24, 1934 in Kewanee, the son Raymond J. and Clematine Florence Marie (VanHecker) Jacobson. He married Connie Lee Warren on July 2, 1960 in Kewanee and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2017. Survivors include two sons, Daryl Jacobson of Toulon and John Jacobson of Kewanee, three sisters, Carolyn Dison and Becky (Monte) Kilby, both of Kewanee and Pat (Robert) Morris of Rialto, CA, two grandchildren, Shea and Kegan and one great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons in infancy, a sister in infancy, a brother, Robert and a sister, Mary Martens.

Kenny graduated from Kewanee High School in 1953 and served his country in the Air Force from 1954-58. He had worked as a union carpenter for Tymar Construction and River City Construction. He was a member of Visitation Church, St. John Paul II Parish and the Kewanee American Legion and had been active with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
