GALVA - Louise A. Anderson, 93, of Galva, IL passed away suddenly on January 28, 2019 at the Kewanee Care Home in Kewanee.
Louise was born March 20, 1925 in Galesburg, IL to Frank and Anna (England) Sandburg. She graduated from Galesburg High School. Louise married James E. Anderson on February 8, 1948. They farmed west of Bishop Hill until Jim passed away in 1992. Louise then moved to Galva.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James E., three brothers; George (Marie) Sandburg and Frank (Lottie) Sandburg, both of Galesburg and Robert (Barbara) Sandburg of Muscatine, IA and two sisters, Alice (Carroll) Brown of Macomb and Florence (John) Sprinkle of Galesburg. Also preceded by brother-in-law, Lester (Joan) Anderson of Bishop Hill.
Louise is survived by daughter, Carol A. of Kankakee, IL and fourteen nieces & nephews, including special nieces Linda (Larry) Fuhlman of West Liberty, IA and Theresa Edgell of Galva. Also survived by especially good friends Myron & Debbie Lindbom of rural Galva, Dean & Darlene Wexell of Galva and Shirley Bent of Toulon.
Louise lived independently in Galva until a sudden illness in December 2018. She had been at Kewanee Care Home since December. Louise enjoyed outdoor gardening, reading and visiting with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 4 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Trisha Chapman will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society.
