She was born May 20, 1946, in Salt Lake City, UT, the daughter of Freeman Bruce and Beverly (Watson) Harmon. In 1964, Peggy met her husband, Robert E. Bailleu on a beach in Hawaii and they were married at St. Peters Church in Kewanee on October 23, 1965. Left to wander without her are her husband, Bob and son, Rob (LeeAnn) Bailleu of Kewanee; and daughter, Brenda (John) Mannin of Indianapolis, IN and grandchildren, Emmerson Mannin of Muscatine IA, Olivia Mannin of West Lafayette, IN, Spencer Bailleu of Kewanee, and August Mannin at home. Also surviving are a brother, Jeffrey (Barbara) Harmon of Murrieta CA, a sister, Bonnie (Bob) Scurzi of Killeen TX, sister-in-law, Nancy Nordstrom of Galva and brother-in-law, John (Jacki) Bailleu of Flower Mound, TX, plus a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Peggy spent her childhood in New Mexico, Utah, and Hawaii while her father was in the military. After marriage, Peggy and Bob made their home in Kewanee where Peggy worked as a telephone operator, waitress at the Little Red Hen (where she thought a quarter was a good tip) and a stay at home mom. In 1978, She and Bob started B & B Printing in Kewanee, retiring in 2008. Peggy enjoyed an active life before the strife of Parkinson’s Disease took hold. She was an avid tennis and racquetball player. She loved flowers, puppies, breaking out in show-tunes, and trying to sell her husband’s glassware. What she loved most though, was her family, especially her grandchildren.
