January 13, 1956 ~ November 16, 2017 (age 61) 61 Years Old

KEWANEE – On November 16, 2017, Marilyn Heiser became her family’s angel. Marilyn, 61, of Kewanee passed away at her home. She was a very special person and was an example of a hard-working, free spirited and loving individual to all who knew her.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday November 20 at Faith Lutheran Church in Kewanee. Rev. Christopher Bushre will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday. November 19 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Neponset. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s. She was an avid supporter of a hospital that has done so much for her family.

She was born January 13, 1956 in Kewane, the daughter of Louis J. and Joyce S. (Stabler) Heiser. She grew up in Neponset with her siblings, Carol, Nancy and Jim.  She was raised by her mother who taught her to be an honest, hard- working and loving person. She was an athlete by trade and was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. She loved fiercely and was loved by all in return. Although she never had her own children, she had many she loved. Her love started for her nieces and nephews. She would drop everything she was doing for any of them and was a best friend to all of them. Her love grew when Cory came into her life. Cory was the son she never had. Cory gave her three beautiful grandchildren that she adored. Jordan was the light of her life. She enjoyed watching him grow up and teaching him the same lessons and morals she grew up with.

Marilyn is survived by a family that loved her deeply which include her siblings, Carol (Raymond) Robinson, Nancy (Ralph) Gillespie and James (Camie) Heiser her honorary children, Ralph, Andy, Jaci, Melissa, Jenna, Jami and Cory; her grandkids, Jordan, Addison and Asher; her babies, Caden, Gabi, Camble, Branton, Ryker, Tinsley, Brynley, Tripp, Coy, Briggs, Scout, Breck, Bauer, Caycen, Maely, Cardyn, Felisha & Alex, her special friends, Margo, Sami and Vicki Berryhill and her step-siblings, June, Rose and Joe. She entered into heaven and was welcomed by her dad, Louis, her mom, Joyce, her step-dad, Frank, her nephew Michael, her girl Tilly and step brother Rick.

While her family is saddened by her passing, knowing that a very special brown hair, brown eyed boy was there to welcome her into heaven with open arms. Michael James took a piece of her heart to heaven with him and her family is sure she is ecstatic to get it back.
