Mary Ellorene Salisbury

KEWANEE – Mary Ellorene Salisbury, 81, a resident of Marigold Health Care Center, formerly of Kewanee and Galva, died at 4:55 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14 at Galva Cemetery. Pastor Art Nutzhorn of the Faith Baptist Church in Toulon will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born August 24, 1937 in Galva, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Bonar) Gearhart. She married Ronald Salisbury Sr. on June 9, 1956 and they later divorced. Survivors include her son, Ronald (Janet) Salisbury Jr. of Toulon, her brother, Dave Gearhart of Galva and her two grandchildren; Kylie and Kimberly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Gearhart Sr.

Mary graduated from Galva High School. She was a homemaker who loved to garden and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
