GALVA – Nancy Pierce, 69, of Galva, passed away peacefully at 6:44 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Pastor Karen Martin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
She was born September 8, 1949 in Kewanee, the daughter of C. Edward and M. Ione (Wickey) Pierce. She married Charles Brock in 1968 and they later divorced in 1980. Survivors include her children, Tammy (Kurt) Mazur of Cottage Grove, MN, Peggy (Ernie) Lang, Dawn (Randy) Stone and Heather (Curt) Craig, all of Galva and Annette Concannon of Leavenworth, KS, nine grandchildren, Clayton Mazur, Colby Mazur, Samantha Lang, Andrew Lang, Jason Stone, Jessie Stone, Kenneth Concannon, Makayla Craig and Baylie Craig and five great grandchildren, Nash, Olivia, Talan, Jax and Colt. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lyle, a son-in-law, David Concannon and a granddaughter, Kylie Concannon.
Nancy had attended Black Hawk East and had worked as a cook and a waitress. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Galva Senior Citizens Center where she had been assistant chairman. She enjoyed crafting and sewing.
