Nita L. Nicholas

KEWANEE – Nita L. Nicholas, 66, of Kewanee, died at 2:13 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at  6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kewanee. Services will be presided by Bill Currier. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Inurnment will be held at Manlius Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Nita Nicholas Memorial Fund. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born January 20, 1952 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of Charles L. and Dora June (Bishop) Nicholas. Survivors include her brother, Chuck (Donna) Nicholas of Camptonville, CA and three nephews; Benjamin, Michael and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nita graduated from Manlius High School and from Huntington University in Huntington, IN. She had worked at Winning Wheels in Princeton, IL. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing.
