Otelia Jordan

STERLING – Otelia Jordan, 76, of Sterling, formerly of Kewanee, died at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her home.

She was born March 1, 1943 in Brownsville, TN, the daughter of Horace and Alma Howell. Survivors include a daughter, Traci Jordan of Sterling, IL and her children; Tacura (Mike) Wilkinson and Lamar Jordan, both of Sterling and Terrance Jordan of Clinton, IA, a daughter, Rochelle Jordan of Kewanee and her children, Chelsea (Stephen) Moore and Jessica (Joey) Shipley, both of Kewanee and a son, Mark Jordan of Kewanee and his children, Devin Jordan of Clinton, IA and Davontae Jordan of Kewanee, two brothers, Curtis Davis and Will Davis, both of Kewanee, a sister, Erma Jean Harris of Chicago and a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Keith Jordan.

Otelia attended Kewanee schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Kewanee. She enjoyed “soul food”, drinking Pepsi, gospel music, traveling and playing bingo and cards.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Pastor Lawrence D. Anderson Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
