GALVA - Patrick R. “Porkchop” Lee, 35, of Galva, died at 1:36 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Rev. Randy Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, November 29 at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services and inurnment will take place at a later date in Galva Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to an educational fund for his son Bo.
He was born July 3, 1984 in Galesburg, the son of Brian and Tami (Thuline) Lee. He married Alison D. Boelens on August 7, 2010 at Wiley Park in Galva. He is survived by the love of his life, Alison, their 20 month old son Bo, who was his Daddy’s boy, his mother, Tami Ketelsen of Galva, his father Brian Lee of Reynolds, IL, two sisters, Erica (Nick) Grier of Kewanee and Brittany Miller-Lee of Galva, a niece Alayna Grier, his grandparents, Connie and Lowell Thuline of Galva and Terry and Nedra Lee of Coal Valley and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norma Lee and his great-grandparents.
“Porkchop” graduated from Rock Ridge High School in 2002. He had worked as a truckdriver and farm hand for Currier Hay and he was a Galva ESDA Storm spotter. His trademark was his yellow truck and he never missed a chance to make his presence known with his flashing lights. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, country music and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son Bo. He was always willing to help someone in need and never expecting something else in return. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and by all those whose lives he touched.
