Richard D. Murray

KEWANEE – Richard D. Murray, 63, of Kewanee, died at 11:52 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 5 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

He was born February 24, 1954 in Kewanee, the son of Kenneth H. and Marcella (Dickens) Murray. Survivors include his two sons, John Murray and Richard Murray, both of Kewanee, a brother, Joseph Murray, three sisters, Liela Swanson, Sheila Langdon and Rita Tabor and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Richard had worked as a foreman at the Mail-o-Graph in Kewanee. In his early years, he enjoyed drawing, building model cars and watching Westerns.
